The Cleveland International Piano Competition works in collaboration with several companies and organizations to enhance the quality of the Competition for contestants, audience members and the general public. Working in partnership we strive to present a program that demonstrates our shared commitment to excellence, and reflects well on the entire Northeast Ohio area.
WCLV broadcasts the Competition live, in its entirety, online and via its FM broadcast on 104.9.
The Cleveland Orchestra - Long considered one of America's great orchestras, The Cleveland Orchestra stands today among the world''s most revered symphonic ensembles. The Competition's unique collaboration with The Cleveland Orchestra, which performs for the final concerto rounds in Severance Hall, helps place the Cleveland International Piano Competition in the top echelon of music competitions worldwide.
The World Federation of International Music Competitions consists of over 100 competitions world-wide. Admission to the Federation, which is located in Geneva, Switzerland, is selective. The Competition has been a member since 1985.
Steinway is the official piano of the Competition.
The Cleveland Institute of Music has supported the Competition since its inception in 1975, now providing practice rooms for the contestants. CIM is a leading international conservatory, with graduates who perform with the world''s most acclaimed musical organizations.
